Located in the driver's side footwell, this genuine Nissan glow plug timer is the control unit for your diesel's cold start system. It regulates the amount of time your glow plugs are energised to pre-heat the combustion chambers. A faulty timer can prevent the glow plugs from turning on, making the vehicle extremely difficult or impossible to start from cold. Alternatively, a failed unit can keep the glow plugs energised for too long, causing them to burn out and requiring premature replacement. Replacing a faulty timer ensures reliable starting and protects the rest of the glow plug system.
