It is recommended to fit an adjustable Panhard rod to a car lifted over 2".
However the rear Panhard rod is a Weak link, and can be replaced no matter what lift you have.
These have a slight bend in them to have more clearance around the diff centre, especially needed for H260 in the TB45 series 1 manual models. They are not straight.

The Difference between the Early and the Late models is the size of the bush at the Chassis end.
If the Bushes are the same size at both ends then it is an early Arm,
If the Bush at the Chassis end is Obviously Larger then it is the Later type of arm.
